Yes, and we often do. We can schedule around counsel, provide itemized written offers for the file, and keep communication running through whoever is administering the estate. Fiduciaries appreciate that every piece is accounted for on paper before anything changes hands.
Will you tell us if a piece should go to auction instead?
We will, and we have. Certain signed pieces with provenance, boxes, and papers can outperform any dealer offer at international auction. We explain the tradeoff honestly: auction may bring more, months later and minus fees. Our offer is certain and immediate. You choose.
How private is the process?
Entirely. Appointments are scheduled in advance at the home or a location your attorney chooses. Nothing is photographed or discussed outside the transaction without your permission, and we are comfortable working through housekeepers, managers, or counsel when the family is out of town.
