Sell to Us · Gold Jewelry · Aliso Viejo

You inherited the gold. You should not have to become an expert too.

Aliso Viejo is Orange County’s youngest city, and its gold almost always arrives the same way it arrived here: carried or shipped in after a parent or grandparent passes somewhere else. A drawer or a small box lands on a kitchen counter in Glenwood or Westridge, full of chains and rings nobody can identify or price, and it sits, sometimes for years, because figuring out what the pile weighs and what weight is worth feels like a second job nobody asked for.

Free visit · cash offers · no obligation

That math is our whole trade, and we make it visible. We are the team behind Old 44 Vintage in San Juan Capistrano, buying across Aliso Viejo from our warehouse ten minutes away in Laguna Hills. We come to you on a work-around-your-schedule basis and test and weigh the gold in front of you: what is solid and what is plated, the day’s price on the table, our percentage stated first, and anything worth more as a finished piece, a signed item, a fine stone, pulled aside and priced the better way. Cash before we leave.

What lands in Aliso Viejo

Inherited gold from elsewhere

The out-of-state drawer, often unmarked or foreign, tested properly and paid at true karat rather than guessed at.

Everyday gold

Chains, rings, bracelets, single earrings, and the broken pile. Condition does not matter to the scale, and we say plainly what is gold and what is plated.

Coins and small bullion

Eagles, Krugerrands, and the gift coins that arrive with an estate, priced individually against the day’s spot price.

Pieces worth more than melt

Signed jewelry, antique settings, and good stones beat the scale, and checking for them is the first thing we do, before anything is weighed as scrap.

Evenings and weekends welcome, all of Aliso Viejo

Aliso Viejo households run on real schedules, so we make ours flexible: weekday evenings and weekends work, and a gold visit takes well under an hour. We cover the whole city, Glenwood, Westridge, Pacific Park, and the Aliso Town Center condos, from ten minutes up the road. The fastest way to start is by phone: text photos of the pieces, and any stamps you can find, to (949) 449-1255, and we will tell you the same day whether the drawer justifies a visit.

Why It Matters

Common questions

Should I sort the real gold from the costume first?

No, and please do not guess. Plated and solid look identical to the eye, the difference lives in stamps and testing, and guessing wrong in either direction costs you money. Bring the whole tangle and we will sort it at the table, in front of you.

The gold is still at my parent’s house in another state. Can you still help?

Start with photos either way. If the collection justifies it, we can talk through options honestly: bringing it back with you, or, for substantial holdings, whether it makes more sense to sell where it sits. We will tell you plainly if a local buyer there is the smarter path.

What if some pieces turn out to be plated?

Then we say so plainly, show you the test, and hand them back. Plated jewelry mixed with real gold is completely normal in a family drawer, and identifying it honestly is part of the service, not a disappointment we hide.
