Estate Buyers · Lake Arrowhead
Estate buyers for Lake Arrowhead, where cabins stay in families for generations.
Nobody buys a Lake Arrowhead cabin casually, and nobody empties one casually either. These houses pass down through families, and by the third generation they hold sixty years of lodge furniture, wooden skis, fishing tackle, board games, and the framed photographs of every summer since the fifties. When it finally falls to you to clear one, the hardest part is not the sorting. It is getting anyone competent to come up the mountain.
We come up the mountain. We are the estate buying team behind Old 44 Vintage in San Juan Capistrano, with a warehouse in Laguna Hills and a truck that has seen the Rim of the World Highway plenty of times. We walk the cabin with you, price what we see honestly, and pay cash the same day. Hauling is our problem, not yours, and the visit costs nothing.
What mountain cabins tend to hold
Lodge and rustic furniture
Rancho Monterey pieces, hickory chairs, Navajo-style rugs, and the big carved sideboards cabins collect.
Vintage sports gear
Wooden skis, split-cane fly rods, old sleds, and canoe paddles, the decor other buyers underestimate.
Vintage clothing and denim
Heavy flannels, ski sweaters, old Levi’s, and Pendleton wool that survived decades in cedar closets.
Art, signs, and cabin decor
California plein air paintings, camp signage, taxidermy, and lamps from the lodge era.
Whole cabin contents
One walkthrough, one cash number for everything we want, and we carry it down the hill ourselves.
A resort with real history in its closets
Lake Arrowhead was built as a getaway, and in the twenties and thirties it was Hollywood’s getaway in particular, which is why cabins from Cedar Glen to Blue Jay still surface surprisingly fine things: good paintings, silver, furniture bought new when the village was young. Later generations added the ski gear and the seventies paneling-era pieces, so a single cabin can hold five decades in three rooms. We schedule mountain runs in fair weather, usually late spring through fall, and group Arrowhead, Twin Peaks, and Crestline visits together. If your timeline is tight in winter, call anyway. We will be straight with you about when we can safely get a truck up Highway 18.

Why It Matters
The difference between ordinary and valuable is in the details: a stitch, a hallmark, a date code. Knowing them is our entire job.

Common questions
The cabin has been closed up for years. Should we clean before you come?
Please do not. Cleaning is how the wooden skis and the box of old photographs end up at the dump. We would rather walk it dusty and dim. We have seen worse, and the interesting things are usually in the closets nobody opened.
How does hauling work on a steep mountain lot?
We bring the truck and the muscle, and we have handled plenty of stair-heavy lots and narrow drives. Access is our problem to solve. If a piece needs special handling, we tell you before we agree on anything, not after.
Most of the family lives down the hill. Can we do this in one trip?
That is exactly how we design it. One scheduled visit, a full walkthrough, a written accounting of what we are offering on, and cash the same day. Whoever holds the keys only has to make the drive once.
One call. We’ll take it
from there.
