Common questions
Can we meet at your shop instead of my house?
Of course. Old 44 Vintage in San Juan Capistrano is five minutes from anywhere in Dana Point, and plenty of sellers prefer bringing a box to a real shop they can stand in. Walk-ins work, or call ahead and we will have the loupe and scale waiting.
My husband's watch stopped running years ago. Worth anything?
Very possibly. A stopped watch with its original dial and an unpolished case is often worth more than a running one that has been cleaned up wrong, because collectors buy originality and service is routine. Do not have it repaired or polished first; let us read the reference number as it sits.
