Sell to Us · West Los Angeles
Sell vintage in West LA, from faculty bookshelves to studio closets.
West Los Angeles collects in two distinct ways. Around UCLA and Westwood, academic households built libraries, record collections, and closets of well-made clothing over forty-year careers. In Brentwood and Rancho Park, entertainment industry families kept wardrobe pieces, crew jackets, tour merchandise, and furniture with real provenance. Both kinds of household hold more value than their owners assume, and both deserve a buyer who can tell the difference.
We are the team behind Old 44 Vintage in San Juan Capistrano, and we make house calls across the Westside from our Laguna Hills warehouse. You do not photograph anything, list anything, or haul anything. We come to you, go through it together, and make a cash offer on the spot. The visit is free and you owe us nothing if you pass.
What we buy on the Westside
Vintage clothing and denim
Levi’s, workwear, leather jackets, and older designer pieces, including single finds from a closet cleanout.
Band, movie, and crew tees
Concert shirts, film promo tees, and studio crew merchandise from the seventies through the nineties.
Mid-century furniture
Danish teak, California modern, and the good apartment-scale pieces West LA units were furnished with.
Vinyl records and books
Jazz, rock, and classical collections, plus first editions and interesting shelves from academic homes.
Cameras and stereo gear
Film cameras, lenses, receivers, and turntables, working or not, tested and priced in front of you.
Parking and logistics are our problem
Anyone who has tried to move furniture out of a building on Barrington or a permit-parking street in Westwood knows the real obstacle is not pricing, it is logistics. That part is on us. We handle the truck, the elevator reservation, the narrow Mar Vista driveway, and the stairs. Sellers in Brentwood flats, Rancho Park bungalows, and the apartment corridors off Santa Monica Boulevard get the same visit: we come at a time that works, look at everything you want to show us, and pay cash before we leave. If the answer is no, we say so kindly and leave the place exactly as we found it.

Common questions
Will you come to an apartment or condo building?
Yes. A large share of our Westside visits are apartments in Westwood, Palms, and Mar Vista. We coordinate with building management when needed, reserve elevators, and work within move-out windows. You do not need a house or a garage for this to be worth doing.
Do you buy single pieces, or only whole households?
Both. One good leather jacket, one Danish credenza, or one box of concert tees is enough reason to visit if it looks promising from your photos. Whole-household cleanouts, including a parent’s home near UCLA, are also exactly what we do.
How do you arrive at your offer?
We price against the actual markets we resell into, including collectors overseas for categories like vintage denim, and we explain that reasoning out loud while you watch. No pressure and no expiring numbers. Take the offer, sleep on it, or decline it.
