Estate Buyers · Redondo Beach
Estate buying in Redondo Beach, where aerospace met the pier.
Redondo Beach filled up in two great waves. The fishing pier and the harbor brought the first families, and the aerospace boom brought the rest: engineers who came for Space Park and TRW, bought a house in the Avenues or a tract home in North Redondo, and stayed fifty years. Those original-owner households are still here, and they hold exactly the things we drive up for.
We are California Vintage Buyers, founded by the team behind Old 44 Vintage at River Street Marketplace in San Juan Capistrano. We make house calls across the South Bay, walk the whole property including the garage, and pay cash on the spot for what we buy. The visit is free, there is no obligation, and if you are on an escrow clock we move at escrow speed.
What we look for in Redondo Beach homes
Engineers' garages
Machinist tools, drafting gear, slide rules, and instruments from long Space Park careers.
Surfboards and wetsuits
Older longboards and South Bay shaped boards, dinged, yellowed, or otherwise.
Vintage clothing and denim
Work-worn Levi's, old tees and jackets, and closets untouched since the 1970s.
Mid-century furniture
Danish and California modern pieces bought new for post-war houses and never replaced.
Fishing tackle and nautical
Old pier and sportfishing gear, reels, lures, charts, and harbor memorabilia.
From the Avenues to North Redondo
South Redondo's lettered Avenues hold houses that never turned over: same family since the 1960s, garage packed to the rafters, a workbench that saw an entire aerospace career. North Redondo, closer to Space Park, has the tract homes engineers bought new and filled steadily for decades. We see many Redondo estates on escrow deadlines, because the land is worth more than ever and the family needs the house empty fast. We can walk it once, make a single cash offer for everything we buy, and coordinate the timeline with your agent. Riviera Village to Aviation Boulevard, the visit costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Common questions
The house is in escrow and has to be empty in two weeks. Can you work with that?
Yes. Escrow clear-outs are a regular part of our South Bay week. We can usually visit within a day or two, pay cash the same day for everything we buy, and help you plan the remainder around your closing date.
My dad's garage is mostly tools, fishing gear, and a couple of old boards. Is that worth a visit?
Very often, yes. Redondo garages are where the real value hides: quality hand tools, vintage tackle, and surfboards from local shapers all have serious buyers. We would rather see it than have you guess, and the look costs nothing.
Do you cherry-pick the best pieces and leave us with the rest?
No. We price the household as a whole, tell you plainly which items carried the number, and point you toward sensible options for what we pass on. You end the visit with one clear figure and an honest map.
One call. We’ll take it
from there.
