Can you tell whether my jade is real jadeite?
We are experienced buyers, not certified gemologists, and we say so plainly. We read color, translucence, weight, and carving quality, and we explain our reasoning at the table. For a piece that might be top quality, a gem lab report is worth getting, and we will tell you when it is.
Can the visit happen in Vietnamese?
Yes. Visits can be arranged in Vietnamese, and we encourage children or grandchildren to join the conversation. Selling a parent’s jade is a family decision, and everyone at the table should understand exactly what is being said about each piece and why.
What if my piece belongs at auction instead?
Then we tell you that, in those words. Important jadeite, imperial-quality porcelain, and rare scholar’s objects can bring more through a specialist Asian art sale, and pretending otherwise would cost you money. We would rather earn the rest of the household honestly than overreach on one piece.
